Start64!In this video I show how to install the EasyCap Video Capture Card on a Windows 7 (64-bit) computer.

Start64!The x86 Open64 compiler system is a high performance, production quality code generation tool designed for high performance parallel computing workloads. The x86 Open64 environment provides the developer the essential choices when building and optimizing C, C++, and Fortran applications targeting 32-bit and 64-bit Linux platforms.

TMonitor 64bit version

Information
2012-Aug-12 | Tags: sysinfowin8-64bit

Start64!New version! - TMonitor is aimed to display the active clock of each individual core of Intel Core 2 and Core i3/i5/i7, as well as AMD K10 processors. A very high refresh rate (20 times per second) allows to visualize the smallest clock variation in real time. TMonitor is able to detect mechanism such as Intel Turbo boost, and therefore allows to clearly visualize its effect as the processor is working.

LojiklSweep 64bit version

Information

Start64!LojiklSweep is a flexible backup tool that can be twisted and turned, folded and moulded to fit almost any backup task. LojiklSweep was created out of a desire to be able to customize home to medium sized business backup requirements.

Start64!We’ve talked already about Calxeda’s interesting server SoC that uses Cortex A9 cores and provides over ten times the efficiency of a Xeon server in certain tasks. ARM’s Cortex A15 architecture brings impressive IPC improvements over the A9 and Samsung is using the newer architecture for its future server processors.

Start64!This video contains steps to reproduce the issue that I encountered when I attempted to build a Kinect SDK sample with VS2012. It worked fine with 2010. It also contains comprehensive steps that I took when attempting to debug it.

Start64!While ARM based system-on-a-chip (SoC) have recently been making waves in the datacenter space with product introductions from many vendors including Calxeda, HP, and Dell, all of the products released so far share one common limitation. Despite the significant improvement in energy efficiency and server density introduced with these various vendors’ products, the entire current crop of massively dense ARM-based datacenter servers is using 32-bit CPUs, with the associated memory limitations of the 32-bit address space.

Start64!Last week, Microsoft announced the completion of its development phase for the Windows 8 platform, along with the release to manufacturing of the platform’s code.  Shortly after that, info on a leaked Windows 8 build made it to the web, referring to an N version of the OS, one that does not include the Windows Media Player inside.

Start64!As one of my image processing software (mainly based on NumPy, SciPy, guidata and guiqwt) is being limited by the "2GB per application" memory limit due to the fact that I'm using a 32bit build of Python on Windows, I'm currently thinking of switching to Python 64bit. That's why I've been recently investigating the 64bit/Windows/Python ecosystem.

Start64!There has been a love affair with the word “extreme” over the last few years. I really noticed the increase when “extreme” sports became popular, though it may well have happened prior without my noticing. Of course, using “sport” as a description of some of the activities is stretching it, also. Personally, I don’t consider tumbling down a hill and breaking limbs a “sport” so much as a moment of terribly unfortunate judgment.

Start64!If you get this message whenever trying to run a HE game on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 64-bit...

Start64!LONDON – Fabless networking chip firm Cavium Inc. (San Jose, Calif.) has announced that it is planning to deliver a family of multicore system-chips based on full custom cores designed to implement the 64-bit ARMv8 instruction set architecture from ARM Holdings plc (Cambridge, England), The chips will be aimed at "cloud" and data center opportunities, the company said.

Start64!New version! - System Stability Tester began as a system stressing and benchmarking tool for overclockers, by the Greek pctechnology and overclockers community, the first months of 2005. Since its first release 0.1 is free and open source software. When version 0.7 came out in June 2007, the project moved to sourceforge.net in order to ease its distribution and gain popularity.
