64-bit driver tools

  • Start64!This small freeware utility will try to install generic Microsoft driver for your bluetooth adapter. The program is based on a widely known method of patching %WinDir%\inf\bth.inf file. It works for most (but not all) bluetooth adapters, both USB dongles and built-in. (See the list of bluetooth devices and hardware IDs known to work. Note that this list is not exhaustive.)

  • Start64!PCI-Z is a freeware lightweight system utility designed to provide information about (unknown) PCI (PCI-E, PCI-X...) devices and helps you find appropriate device drivers.

  • Start64!New version! - USBOblivion utility designed to erase all traces of USB-connected drives and CD-ROMs from the registry in Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 32/64-bit versions. The utility has a test mode of operation, i.e. without actually removing data from the registry, and, just in case, creates a .reg-file to undo any changes. There is also a fully automatic mode.

  • Start64!The FileSpy is a GUI application for the FSpy.sys or MSpy.sys, a monitoring filter driver shipped with the WDK. Its functionality is similar to the famous Filemon tool from Mark Russinovich (http://www.sysinternals.com). FileSpy is an aplication written as support to the developers, who need to monitor file system activity.

  • Start64!Use Z-ViPrinter to easily create PDF files from almost any document in any software. Z-ViPrinter is a PDF printer driver which installs a new virtual printer in your Windows operating system. You can then use it from any software which can print documents.

  • Start64!With release of OS X 10.8.3, the latest update for Mountain Lion, Apple upgraded the Boot Camp utility, which allows users to dual-boot Windows and OS X on a supported Mac, to version 5. Boot Camp 5 allows users to install either 64-bit editions of Windows 7 or 8 alongside their copy of OS X -- by downloading Boot Camp Support Software 5, you’ll have all the drivers you need to run Windows on your Mac.

  • Start64!For the BORA Board you need to disable the driver signature enforcement (see https://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/bora/Driver_Installation) on Windows 7/Vista 64-bit. This video shows you how to perform this action in the easiest manner possible. Note you need to do this *every* time you boot and are using BORA. I suggest you 'hibernate' or 'sleep' your computer to avoid needing to go through this hassle.

  • Start64!The Steel batallion is the de-facto controller for Mech Simulation games. It included 39 buttons and 10 axes, making it incompatible with standard Windows Joystick classes. If you went to http://vt.beckament.net you would be able to download Windows Drivers if you were running a 32 bit system. Support for Windows 7 64-bit was non-existent until now. This program leverages the work done by PPJoy and LibUSB.net to allow real-time updates of a joystick by running a program.

  • Start64!I hope this helps everybody who was as frustrated as I was when I switched to a 64-bit system. If I get a hold of a Logitech version I will try to make it work as well. From document comparison the only difference I can find between the two is the PID, I assume they use the same chipset, so these drivers may work for both.

Uninstalling a program using program specific uninstallers will often leave behind many unwanted files, folders, settings and registry keys. Comodo Programs Manager is capable of uninstalling an application along with such unwanted remnants.

  • Start64!A quick and easy solution to fixing the issues with Net MD devices not being compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. I did not create this fix and unfortunately I don't know who is responsible for it, so I can't take credit nor give credit to who did it. I just felt like creating a tutorial to help people who are having trouble installing it.

  • Start64!New version! -When you want to create a new file system on Windows, for example to improve FAT or NTFS, you need to develope a file system driver. Developing a device driver that works in kernel mode on windows is extremley difficult.By using Dokan library, you can create your own file systems very easily without writing device driver. Dokan Library is similar to FUSE (Linux user mode file system) but works on Windows.
