64 bit command-line tools

  • Start64!This tiny application operates as a Shell extension. It records the layout and positions of icons and programs on the Windows desktop, and permits restoration of the layout. It appears to operate correctly under Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP (x86, x64) and Windows Vista (x86, x64). There is a separate installer for x64 platforms.

  • Start64!MyDefrag is a disk defragmenter and optimizer (a maintenance utility to make your harddisk faster) for Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, 2008, and for X64. It is freeware, no time limit, fully functional, no advertisements. Fast, low overhead, with many optimization strategies, can handle floppies, USB disks, memory sticks, and anything else that looks like a disk to Windows.

  • Start64!Free (released under the GNU General Public License) disk defragment and optimize utility for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/X64. Completely automatic and very easy to use, fast, low overhead, with two optimization strategies, and can handle floppies and USB disks/sticks.

  • Start64!Object Viewer is a tool with both a GUI and command line interface for dumping and examining all active objects on 32 bit (x86) and 64 bit (x64) editions of Windows XP, 2003 and Vista. Object Viewer is similar to Handle Viewer in the types of information retrieved, although presents an object-centric view.

  • Start64!Atsiv is a command line tool that allows the user to load and unload signed or unsigned drivers on 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows XP, Windows 2K3 and Windows Vista. Atsiv is designed to provide compatibility for legacy drivers and to allow the hobbyist community to run unsigned drivers without rebooting with special boot options or denial of service under Vista.
