  • Start64!Recently I upgraded my company Active Directory infra structure from 2003 32bit to AD 2008 64bit. I save all the procedure in this small howto. I first test the whole scenario in a VM environment, and then implemented it on Live Production Servers. This guide was written so that it may be helpful for others and also it will be reference guide to me for future retrieval.

  • Start64!Some 64-bit operating systems and virtualization software running on Intel CPU hardware are vulnerable to a local privilege escalation attack. The vulnerability may be exploited for local privilege escalation or a guest-to-host virtual machine escape.

One usually doesn't think of flashy GUI interfaces when it comes to servers either. They generally are fairly straight forward and basic and in the case of Windows, haven't change a whole lot in the past several years, until now with Windows Server 8 and its Metro interface, which most likely will be largely ignored however, at least initially.
