Start64!During the last ten years, Internet Explorer (IE) has completely lost its reputation - mostly thanks to its poor performance, stability issues, security vulnerabilities and a lack of functionality. IE became a joke among PC users. But luckily for its fans, Microsoft hasn't given up hope. In fact, it improved things drastically in the last three versions. However, IE9's performance is still remarkably poor compared to the other web browsers.

Start64!While ARM based system-on-a-chip (SoC) have recently been making waves in the datacenter space with product introductions from many vendors including Calxeda, HP, and Dell, all of the products released so far share one common limitation. Despite the significant improvement in energy efficiency and server density introduced with these various vendors’ products, the entire current crop of massively dense ARM-based datacenter servers is using 32-bit CPUs, with the associated memory limitations of the 32-bit address space.

Start64!As one of my image processing software (mainly based on NumPy, SciPy, guidata and guiqwt) is being limited by the "2GB per application" memory limit due to the fact that I'm using a 32bit build of Python on Windows, I'm currently thinking of switching to Python 64bit. That's why I've been recently investigating the 64bit/Windows/Python ecosystem.

Start64!New version! - A still photograph is a limited format for capturing moments that span an interval of time. Video is the traditional method for recording durations of time, but the subjective “moment” that one desires to capture is often lost in the chaos of shaky camerawork, irrelevant background clutter, and noise that dominates most casually recorded video clips.

Start64!Opera has never gotten the sort of attention and respect it deserves, at least judging by its paltry market share in most parts of the world. But the browser has always been on the cutting edge when it comes to web technologies and standards.
