Information revealing that Samsung was working on a budget, affordable smartphone, known in the rumor mill as the Galaxy J1, has recently surfaced. The handset has yet to be officially announced by the parent company, but while we wait on that Sam Mobile gives us a sneak peek into what to expect from the handset.
As you can see for yourself in the gallery, the Samsung Galaxy J1 follows the design characteristics of older models announced by the company, but that’s hardly a shocker.
Samsung to use a 64-bit chip in its latest low-end handset - But what seems to be the most interesting aspect about the Galaxy J1 is that is going to be powered by a 64-bit processor. Sammy uses a quad-core Marvell PXA1908 chip clocked at 1.2GHz for the purpose of juicing up the machine, fitted with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (it’s expandable).
