AMD plans eight core 64bit ARM chip for embedded designs

Start64!AMD is planning a system-on-chip (SoC) for embedded designs using up to eight ARM 64bit A57 cores as well as two new x86-based devices.

Its roadmap for embedded computing in 2014 offers both ARM and x86 processors for low-power and high-performance embedded compute designs.
