Start64!Keepalived is a free routing software written in C language. Keepalived provides simple and robust facilities for load balancing and high availability to Linux based infrastructure. Keepalived implements VRRP protocol for high availability and relies on Linux Virtual Server (LVS) kernel module for load balancing.

Keepalived full sourcecode is freely available at http://www.keepalived.org/. However, Keepalived main website doesn’t offer package any Linux distribution, it only provides source code and code repository.

This article provides the detailed procedure to build the keepalived rpm package for RHEL6.1  x86_64.
