New version! - WaveShop is a free, open-source audio editor for Windows XP/Vista/7. Unlike many similar apps, WaveShop is bit-perfect, meaning samples aren't altered unless they need to be. Editing a portion of an audio file only affects that portion; the rest of the file is untouched. Blocks of audio can be cut and pasted without changing their contents at all. This is especially useful for patching a finished master without corrupting its dither.

M-Audio has released driver version 1.0.1 for its Axiom AIR Mini 32 product. The new update adds support for 64-bit operating systems. A known issue with this driver is that AIR Ignite software users will need to install the application version 1.1 (or higher).

Now that I've been beta testing Ableton Live 9, I've confirmed that you can't use your 32 bit plugins... or can you? *Since I can't release videos using Live 9 just yet, I'm doing this demo using Live 8 64 beta released last summer.

Time for an update to my MIDI synth! New in this version is the ability to play on the inernal PC speaker even on 64-bit Windows! Also, you can now easily override the volume, expression and instrument for each MIDI channel just by clicking on those parts on the main window, and they can stay locked even if the MIDI file (or live MIDI input) tries to change them. I tried to do fancy editing in this video, so I hope this makes up for the last one.
